WOL service at Liverpool
This work task is focused on setting up a WOL service at Liverpool University using the software developed at Oxford.
Ideally the solution will be built in a way that it can be given to a hosting service (such as Janet) who can then offer the service nationally.As such Shibboleth is key.
- Design document
- Give gateway software to Liverpool (NB Windows site license)
- Sort out distribution of all code and documentation as per suggestions from Dominic and David F
Monitoring service
- Enhancements to the manage interface
- Configure manage interface at OeRC, OUCS and OUCE
- New graph that shows % of total nodes found throughout the day and night
- Get support from colleges and departments
- Get agreement from OUCS to host the service
- Change permissions structure so the graph can be public
Campaign
- Develop model library and guide
- Get more sites using the service, especially colleges
- ITSS conference
- Tool box including commercial solutions
- Do your bIT logo
