Research techniques
The CRT aims to use a range of qualitative and quantitative research techniques.
Research Strategies
The ‘research strategy’ is the logic by which a study intends to proceed in order to answer its research questions. Some research strategies are:
Research tools
The 'research tools' are the methods that are used to collect data. These include:
CRT.Questionnaires (coming soon!)
Requirements gathering
Requirements gathering may utilise any of the above research methods, however in the case of prototyping we will demonstrate some specific processes and techniques we have used.
Analysis
Data Store
The CRT will document and store the output from the research activities in this section.
Interview summaries
The CRT maintains a repository of interview sumaries. This provides qualitative information that will help service providers and designers understand how technology fits within the everyday life of the end user.
Go to the CRT.Interview_Summaries.
Survey data
The CRT will design and conduct a number of general and project specific surveys. We will also collate results from other surveys conducted by other related groups (local and national).
Survey data can be used to give more generalizable descriptive information about a larger group of people.
